Old Thatch is a delightful country property alongside the Basingstoke Canal near Winchfield, Hampshire. The house is, as its name suggests, a thatched cottage dating back at least 250 years.
There are lawns, trees, borders, shrubs and fields lived in by sheep and donkeys.
More details of the gardens, and the history of the property are in the following pages.
The gardens at Old Thatch are occasionally open for the National Gardens Scheme, and over £4,000 was raised for charity in 2013.

The Gardens also host events in aid of Sebastian’s Action Trust, a leading charity providing holiday homes and practical support for children with life-threatening illnesses.
